Thank you, Jorge.Not that it's important to anyone but me, but our conductor is Richard Westerfield, not Westbrook. All I can plead is temporary non compos mentis caused by a hellacious afternoon nap.
On the other hand, last night me'n the wife listened to Mravinsky conducting Shostakovich's Fifth for the first time (on a "Leningrad Masters" CD release). We both loved it, with her saying "That is beautiful!" sometimes and me laughing ruefully out loud at other times. Needless to say, we'll be purchasing tickets soon for the late September performance thereof.
