Why should Wagner be played in a steady tempo? You're just TOO used to Solti's recording which is boring in the musical expression. Music shouldn't be played according to the metronome markings, they're only guidelines and only the really great conductors, like very good actors can give MORE meaning to what has been written down.Rob
