I've met John at the store, and he seems to be a really good guy. They are a more-or-less typical small audiophile store located in Verona, NJ. He has extremely close relations with some of his brands, including Vandersteen and Cary. I actually heard a Cary amp with the Vandy 2CE Sigs, and it's a very nice piece indeed (also heard the same speaker back-to-back with several solid state integrateds). He recited company history chapter and verse, so I find it unlikely that he would give you false information. He also has a successful store front shop there, so there is in fact more to lose than one customer, especially in the increasingly-tight0knit community of audiophiles.I wouldn't be concerned if I were you.
