Re: Marantz CD recorders: DR6050 vs. DR6000

I have the DR6000. The only advantage of the dual deck is recording speed. You can make a CD recording twice as fast on the 6050. The DR6000 records at play speed. Some belive making the recordings at play speed renders a higher quality recording. I have found that the DR6000 makes very accurate recordings of vinyl. Many analog qualities shine through. If your not in a big hurry I would recomend the DR6000. In 2 years of using 80 minute CDs I haven't had any problems with the DR6000.
