Nope. I'm not at all familiar with the Sony HT A9.
I once had a HT system comprised of a pretty decent AV Receiver/Processor that was integrated WITH my 2-channel audio setup. The 2-ch preamp had a Home Theater bypass input so I was able to use my main 2-ch amp for the front L&R speakers but the Center, Sub, and Rear Surrounds were powered by the AV Receiver/Processor. Lots of cabling! And a bit complex for the wife.
We're very happy with the Sonos system which I call the "Easy Button" system for home theater ;-)
