I bought the Cambridge CD 840C player about two weeks ago after my beloved Wadia 16i start to miss track after faithfull 20 years service. I burn in the 840C about 125 hours before I start to linsten some of my CDs. It was very smooth, better resolution than Wadia 16i. Frequency well extended in low and high, great bass and clean high, no roll off at all, sound stage wide and with pin point positioning. Similar to Wadia 16i which is very easy to my ears, but with more clear and transparent. I like it very much and I believe it is a great super buy with the street price of 1,350.00. Great CD player, highly recommand!
