I have an Ipod (30 gig Video about a year old) I use when I mow the lawn, etc. I have loaded it with 4 or 5 gigs of Apple Lossless files from CDs. I bought a DLO HomeDock to hook it up to my home system. The Home dock uses the bottom connector to charge the Ipod and output the sound to decent quality RCAs which I plug in via decent RCAs to my integrated amp (Unico)I used it today and noticed when I turned up the volume even just a little that the unit hissed pretty much all the time (even when off), and between songs there was an audible electronic beep (about 1 beat a second) until the next song started -- in that silly blank space the Ipod puts between songs.
When I set the input on the integrated to CD it's dead silent, but when I put it on Aux or AV inputs (and hook up the HomeDock) it hisses all the time. If I unplug the RCAs from the HomeDock the hissing goes away.
Is there something wrong with my setup, or is this normal bad sound? Maybe the charger??
Thanks
