Clicking sound from MSB Link Dac 3 when sound goes when sound source is silent

The MSB Link Dac i recently bought 2nd hand makes a "click" sound every time the sound source goes out. ie. when my cable box changes channels, when I cycle the input source, etc.
Is this clicking sound normal for this piece? Is there any way to disable?
Do other dacs do this clicking sound too? ie The Assemblage Dac2?
