I tried the Classic DIP and the Upsampling DIP between 2 different transports and my Monarchy M24 DAC.

Transport 1 - Toshiba 3950 DVD Player
-- Bigger soundstage, deeper soundstage, more detail, timing is off.
Transport 2 - Creek CD50
-- Small changes to soundstage/detail timing is off.

To my ears the 'Classic' DIP did less damage, i.e. the timing problem wasn't as significant while retaining the benefits. Your mileage will vary, and CC Poon makes some marvellous products and provides a high level of support. It would certainly be worth your while to give them a shot.
