Altmann Attraction dac: output voltage & bass questions

I'm getting pretty close to ordering one of these dacs, but have 2 lingering questions. 1) one poster on a DIY board said the output voltage is higher than standard, causing problems for some preamps. Can anybody speak to this? 2) one of the testimonials on Altmann's site characterizes the bass as "in the background," which makes me wonder whether bass power is a bit low relative to other dacs. No other comments have mentioned this -- but it leave a question in my mind. Can anybody speak to this? Thanks a bunch. (My current dac is an Ack dac 2.0.)
