Problem with MSB Link DAC III Not Turning On

Hello Everyone,
Recently purchased a MSB Link DAC III with upsampler option. My problem is that every now and then the unit does not seem to recognize a signal input. I have an Oppo Digital DV970HD connected via coax and a Sony CDP CX-240 200 disc megachanger connected via Toslink. Whether I have the MSB connected to a switched or unswitched plug on my Panamax M5100 power conditioner, the MSB doesn't recognize any signal from either player. This happens infrequently. The power and option lights are on but none of the sampling lights are. Is this a known problem with MSB DACs or should I experiment some more and maybe plug the MSB into the wall or return it? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
