Can anyone tell me if the Toshiba 3980 and/or 3990 are made with two PC boards or one large one? I know it seems like a silly question. I want to experiment with "re-packaging" and a two board layout would help out. I assume they have the same DAC as the older 3950s and 3960s. Is there anything that would make either the 3980 or 3990 a better CDP? I am not interested in the video portion.
