Re: BURN IN

I must have had a bad hair day yesterday. I am in love again. All kidding aside! When I first got the DAC up and running after the cap bypass mod I was totally thrilled with what was coming out of it. I couldn't wait until it got better, if that was going to happen. Yesterday when I posted the latest issue is when I was a bit disgusted and not totally understanding this "Burn In" issue(because I am not a total believer as of yet) I was under the impression that with time in the sonics should only get better. Not ever go in reverse. Again, it could have been my ears. Who knows? But all is well now, again. I am still going to bild that filter. I have all the parts. Just not the time. Bye the way! It was good that you put the one side of the caps on the down side of the fuse holder. This way if there was a cap meltdown that fuse would blow first. The hot of the choke should also go there as well. I am checking more into the transformer or choke mod that Jeff Poth does. It seems very close or identical to the Audio Note. He uses their transformers.
