The question, of course, is whether the additional PRAT you speak of is natural or an add-on, especially in the case of Naim digital. When I went from my Naim CDS2 to the Audio Note Dac 4.1 Balanced, that was the question that presented itself. Initially, I felt that something was missing in the AN dac. A week or so later, when I shifted back to the Naim, it sounded as if it were bullying the music. A few more comparisons confirmed for me that it was the AN that was getting it right. But the comparison is a fascinating one. The Naim never felt wrong (two years or so) until I lived with the AN. The CDS2 makes a persuasive if not ultimately winning case for extra testosterone.
