Thanks Bill,
I currently use the Toshiba 3950 as a transport into my Monarchy 24 and its 'ok', but comparing it to using a Creek CD50 (on loan) as a transport and the differences are quite obvious to me and significant. That is what led me to consider a stand alone transport, and the Cyrus CDxT stands alone at that price point in terms of a 'brand new' transport that is able to read copy protected CDs. Sadly this is quite an important consideration for me due to the saturation of such discs and Canada, and having a number of them within my music collection. Are you perhaps familiar with 'Creek' or 'Bluenote' products? If so I would very much appreciate any comparative discussion of the presentation of Cyrus sources. Hearing the CDxT will not be an option, unfortunately, prior to purchase so I am trying to learn as much as possible. I do like to listen to audio products before purchasing them, but given the size of the small market I live in this is not always possible, but always preferable.
Many thanks,
Nathan Klassen
