I think one reason why the change in Flatfish (and now Shig?) is because the original transport used to build the Flatfish had ceased production. So now the Flatfish is being produced with a different (newer) transport.I can't comment on Yoshi's comment about no difference in sound. All I can comment on is my a/b comparision with Flatfish vs Flatfish mk2 which was a very strict "all things equal" comparison.
