The Arcam is probably quieter, more detailed and more neutral, but I sure wish I had heard the Naim when I bought the Arcam, because it excells in PRAT even if it measures poorly. It all depends on the sound you like to hear. The Arcam sound, thank God, is not entirely sterile like so many with digital filters, but lacks the PRAT of the Quad 99 and Naim 5i. PRAT = toetapping.
