Hi all,
My current setup is about 10 years old: Acurus DIA-100, Signet SL280's, budget cables, and a Marantz 63SE on it's last legs. I bought these because they were the only well reviewed budget components available in Chattanooga at the time. This rig has given me much pleasure and I'll be happy with a similar 'sound' from the new player. I'm considering the Marantz CD5001 for about $300. But my question is this: how does the 5001 compare to the 63SE? ...or given the amp and speakers, should I move up to the CA Azur 540 or 640, a NAD, Rotel, or even a Rega? Thanks for your advise!
