I mean, really, have you read much about this president? I've got plenty of "Liberal" and "Left-of-Center" bona fides but after some reading about T. Jefferson, I don't idolize the man in the least.
Let's skip the easy references to his slave Sally Hemmings and go to the Louisiana Purchase. After you've digested that, tell me if he was such an obedient servant of the law. TJ was a human being, subject to the faults and foibles that all of have inflicted upon ourselves.
Before you take out your flamethrower again, I suggest that you remember to "Walk a mile in his shoes".
