Help-confused about CD's

67.135.14.26

HI, Ive got a Marantz CDR500 CDrecorder, and I also have a dvd-rw to copy discs on my computer. One thing Im not certain of, is if a MFSL cd copy will sound as good as the origianl, or whether it will sound just like a normal cd. I only know the analogy to vinyl and analogue tape, where its importatnt to have the best source Record or tape, and then the transfer/copy will sound the best, all things being equal.Again, what baffles me is what the determinant factor is in how good a cd copy will sound? Is that also source dependent-in other terms, If I have a better cd, than will the copy sound corespondingly better all things the same elswhere down the chain(amp pre-amp etc). I hope Im making myself clear, because I didnt know exactly how to term this inquiry.Thank You
