hearing it vs. the incredible Burmester 969/970 combination at Seacliff. The Burms had a touch more resolution and did the extremes better, but the GamuT (at one-eighteenth the cost) held its own in neutrality and midrange clarity. It plays CD-Rs without any problems. The Bluenote Stibbert transport, for example, is quite finicky and refuses to play some.Another bonus is that is has both low output impedance (75 ohms) and higher than usual output (4 volts) which makes it ideal for use with attenuators driving power amps directly.
