Actually, because it's an SACD player, it uses the front-loading Philips mechanism. But the slot is really narrow, and I'm just not brave enough to try the Marigo mat. On the other hand, I did try the Herbies Grungebuster 2, and it sucked the life out of the music. I think I'm gonna do my listening mat-free--at least with this player.
