I used their indoor/outdoor rated version with the white/buff jacket on and I never had any of this claimed "harshness". I suspect it may not be PVC, but something else. Do you have a way of finding out what the jacket is on my version of the General Cable? Same CAT 5e stuff, just different jacket for outdoor use.Thanks.
