I have a system comprising of:Nad T741 A/V receiver
Quad 66 CD
B&W DM601s2
Philips DVD763SAI'm looking at replacing the interconnect between the Quad and the amp with a .5m PBJ, and getting 2x2.5m of 4PR speaker cable.
As I'm in the UK we have one Kimber dealer, Russ Andrews.
PBJ is £35 for 0.5m with nickel phono's (not ultraplate AFAIK).
4PR is £5 a meter "off the reel" or £39 for a 2x2.5m stripped pair.
I don't need any spades or bananas, just bare wire, how simple is 4PR to strip and knurl together? I don't see the point in paying 50% extra for someone else to strip the bare wire?
TIA,
Paul
