Hi Klauskinda big for lap but might make a slide lap bass now as upper bow (as one might guess) has moved inwards (due to lack of proper brace/gusset) tilting the neck and making action too high to play.
when new - had good bright/open sound for fretless 34" scale with highs emanating from the wide portion of the slot.
suspect if built better then would be good variant - Mr. Karlson envisioned violins built tha way - who knows? ( I liked the sound of those horn-loaded violins) :^)
