The LA-100 and the LA-150 are designed with the Purist wire, so that should tell you something. I prefer the preamp with the (standard) purist wiring (i.e when I call Jud and order up a "LA-150", it will come with the purist wire). Its been a while since I've heard a cardas wired preamp, but the main difference I recall is the the purist wired units have more of a sparkle and texture to the mids and treble.
