I am now trying to locate PRO COMM 12AX7's can anyone help me find them? Thanks, thetubeguy1954 (Tom Scata)
Follow Ups:
PRO-Comm is a brand, not a manufacturer. I have seen it applied most often to Tungsrams, but I also have seen those East German ECC83 that have the miniature plates like 12AT7 labeled Pro Comm. There is a guy on ebay offering 4 Pro- Comm ECC83 w/ a "buy it now" of $21.95. If I locate his listing (if someone han't bought them) I'll post the link. Anyway, like Amperex, Pro-Comm can be many, many diferent tubes labeled under the Pro-Comm name; they are a distributor and put whatever 12AX7s they get into their blue boxes.
i know this thread is old but the newer pro/comm 12ax7's i've seen have all been EH's.
Ken Chiat at ATSI has some tungsram 12ax7 labeled Procom. I have some and they are great.
Tom S,Steven is right- Pro Comm were relabellers of Eastern European tubes. All the Pro Comm I've ever seen have been made by Tungsram, Hungary, but I think Pro Comm could also be Ei, Yugoslavia..
I've never tried them, but some people think Tungsram are the bee's knees of all 12AX7s. Another friend thinks they are a little warm and sloppy.
I think Machmat in Holland recently had both Pro Comm and RSD labelled Tungsram made 12AX7s.
Cheers,

Tom,I believe that the PRO COMM boxed tubes were relabeled 12AX7 from various manufacturers. What does your 12AX7 look like? Perhaps it's an Eastern Euro made tube.
