My Dj mixer has a mono sub-bass output with a frequency range from 20-63hz. Why did they choose 63 hz for the upper limit? I've seen other units made by other manufacturers use 63hz as the upper limit of their mono sub-bass output. What's the scientific reason for 63hz?

dunno - my guess = that's approximate LF corner of many pro-woofer PA boxes - is it 2nd order lowpass?
Hello Freddyi: You guessed right. The lowpass filter has a 12db per octave slope.
