My failure to get a refund is my fault.After Victor said, point blank, I could not get a refund and would have to pay $360 shipping to get a new pair (assuming they were perfect), I pretty much gave up on it. It was not my intention to dredge this up.
When I said I got burned, I meant it more in line with what balint said: "To ask 500USD for things like this is outrageous." If I try to use them, with the amount of work they need they are worth nowhere near $500, at least not to me. Even if I do end up with a refund, it's still a collosal waste of time and money (for shipping).
