I am also making the DIY digital cables. I am building the
cable using a 0.01 mfd ceramic capacitor, without the
telescoping shield.I am providing a link to an image illustrating how this cable could be made. If this is correct, I will leave this image posted as a reference for others who want to build this type of cable.

In the previous reply, I had an incorrect illustration of the DIY digital cable with telescoping shield and capacitor. I have corrected the image and Jon Risch approved it. Sorry for any confusion this might have caused.I hope this helps.

This is not how to connect a coax that does not have an additional outer shield braid, if using the coax stock, the braid MUST be hard connected to gorund at both ends.
