Assuming you set up a decent digital system the sound quality from downloads and streaming should be as good as your LPs. But don't expect them to sound exactly the same. If you prefer the typical 'warmth' of LPs I wouldn't expect downloads or streaming to sound like that.
I gave away all of my CDs and most of LPs about a year ago and have no regrets.
