Is this correct? ]Not quite. You would place the 0.01 uf DISC CERAMIC cap as you stated, but the source end of the extra shield would be connected to ground.
What this type of connection does, is provide a "floating shield" within the operating band of the cable, yet terminates the shield at higher RF frequencies.
