Thank you. I'll probably try to make a set of balanced cables with your latest DIY recipe in a few weeks and post results here.

If I understand what you are saying, the method for balanced cables is basically like that for RCA/unbalanced and I probably don't need a shield with balanced interconnects. I can pretty much leave pin 1 alone on both ends and just use the regular-recipe twisted pair unless I run into problems with noise, yes?

Assuming a shielded interconnect, the rule of connecting to the source end is the same as with RCA's.

Did I get the message correct?
