for the tascam 103 pro cassett

i have used the tascam 102 for years and i finally stepped up to the 103 a few years ago and i think they make great home recordings. when recording with dolby b, and playing back on other decks is outstanding something that you cant do with most nak decks. when playing a tape back recorded on the tascam 103 using dolby b ,you would think to play it back in dolby b,but the recording is so full and clean by using the dolby c or b option you cant even tell when either is on or off, the recordings are just that clean. it looks like a no frills deck, but dont be fooled.the only other deck that i have owned that makes a better recording was the nak dragon.the tascam also does a fine job in recording lp's it gives you the same glory or better than the original album, depth and warmness. so if you find one with the heads in good shape, aligned, demagnitized and cleaned, dont hesitate to get it you will be surprised.oh and use good interconnects and even better when you come straight from your cd,dat, etc into the deck when recording(wow).

Product Weakness: looks, and weight, some what light
Product Strengths: very strong recordings, sounds good in everything you play it back on, highs, mids and lows are all there.
