There are a few of these around, especially in Europe (check eBay), and quite a few of them have very low hours. If you want superb cassette performance, this is a good place to start. This is a 3-motor unit with Dolby B and C and automatic tape bias/equalization. It is essentially the same machine as the later B215, minus some of the more esoteric automated functions.
My unit sounds like any Revox: clear, lovely mids, almost indistinguishable from the original. The high end seems well extended, even with the Dolby on. I hear no "breathing" -- this is the first cassette deck I've owned where I prefer the sound *with* the Dolby on. The bottom end is solid.
Tape handling is superb. Tape path cleaning is easy.
If you buy a unit without a power cord, you may have to replace the socket for it on the back. This is easy, as the standard 3-prong socket fits easily into the space used by their non-standard socket.
I don't know about the reliability of these. Traditional Revox wisdom is to avoid the early models, and always look for a "Mark-something" version. (Most owners of the original A77 can attest to this!) Mine had disintegrating knobs, which I replaced through the importer, who seems very good to deal with.
