I just returned a pair of SF-2's for a pair of RF-3's. I must say that I am very dissapointed with a first listen. Its early to say. I used all the same sources right down to the same music tracks. I found the SF-2's to have very tight and accurate bass. Totally absent in the RF-3(so far - maybe its all this break-in stuff which I am yet to believe - the SF-2's sounded good from day 1). I am just wondering why they priced them so much higher. What was "apparent" were the colored cones and the excessive weight. To be fair, I think they handled some frequencies well like some sounds which I "may" not have had earlier. I am NOT a bass freak. Note - I was listening to the SF-2's at flat freq and it sounded excellent. I did not test them side by side. The RF3's might do better for high freq's. Not significantly, if your listening at a moderate level. With the SF's, I did not even feel the need for a sub, since the sound was so balanced. Any light on why this is so would be appreciated !

4 stars because I compared it to the SF-2's which were cheaper, much ligher and sounded better "overall", IMHO. IF it had the same or even slightly better bass, I would give it 6 out of 5 !

PS : The benefit of the doubt exists with the reader, due to my short usage period. But honestly, it did not take more than 15 mins for me to slowly realise that I had lost a jewel as far as the bass of the Klipsch SF-2's were concerned. Think about it !
