for the 6.5

Insignia NS B2111. Well a respected audio manufacture told me to check them out. I finally got a chance today to pick up a pair. My first positive impression is that the music wasn't in my face. Next I found them to be very musical. After playing them loudly for about 3 hours I put on a Telarc Digital Compact Disc Sampler CD 80101, Liz Story with Joel Di Bartolo. Deep bass and plenty accurate for a 6.5 woofer but also for a coaxial design it was relaxing. I originally had them about 30 inches off the rear wall but I pulled them out to about 38" and they opened up even more. Liz Story was in the room with me. and Joel Di Bartolo was playing the bass nicely. Nice attack and decay. The piano had very good weight. This after 4 hours mind you. I'm having my woofers refoamed on my Alons at the moment. These are filling in nicely.

These speakers are a bargin for the money. I have had many of those audiophile reccomended small boxes and these are better than most of them and they cost 10 times more. Celestion 3's forget it. PSB's forget it and I could go on and on. Yes, I'm impressed. I can't wait to see how good they sound after they break in. Excellent depth and a very wide soundstage out the box. For peanuts $53 smackaroos. I will come back in a few days and give you the rest of this story. Now these aren't speakers that will replace your bid rig but they won't be hard to listen to when you send in your big rig speakers for repair or upgrades. I keep looking at the subwoofer to see if the power light is on. But it's not.

Product Weakness: Cabinet is a bit live. But no complaints at the $$
Product Strengths: Appearance

Sound Quality

Cost

Soundstage

Depth of soundfield

Never in your face is a major improvement for a 49.99 pair of speakers. If you turn them up too loudly they will honk at you.

They also have a 1 year warranty....
