I've owned a pair of the Renaissance 90s for about 7 years and agree that they are an undiscovered gem. At the time I purchased them (dealer demos at cost)I thought they compared favorably to to the Thiel 3.6s and just about anything else in that price range. They use the emim midrange that was also in the $10,000 Epsilons and a great midbass (which is lacking in the Renaissance 80s-the other model in the series).
Overall, a fantastic sounding and constructed speaker that I would recommend grabbing if you can find them.
