for the 901 Series VI
Let's stop Bose bashing - Mr. Bose is a scientist from an Ivy League, and he went for clarity and realism in his speaker design. This approach paired with the wrong or cheap electronics can sound down right annoying; hence all the Bose bashing. With the right amp, they can sound capture acoustic instruments realistically. To some people, that's vital. Most soft mushy sounding speakers like Polk and Paradigm Titan is more forgiving in mis matchings, so maybe a better beginner's choice. Bose exports to Japan succesfully, so let's help our economy and stop Bose bashing, 'cause they c a n sound good with the right set up. Thick speaker cable also helps.
Product Weakness: Can sound annoying with mis-matched cheap electronics. NAD sounds ok.
Product Strengths: Paper cone sound (many audiophiles think gives the best sound), and realistic rendition of acoustic instruments.
