for the Nautilus/Signature 800

The Signature 800 is the best B&W speaker I've heard (the Nautilus 800 is just different by finish, I believe)... far better than even the next in line, the venerable Nautilus 801. Take note that I never heard the Nautilus model speaker (the one like a shell).

Read my short review of the Revel Salon, and that is more or less what I think of the Signature 800. True to the source. Plain and simple, but IS the ultimate high-end-audio virtue.

Did N801 sound too bright and forward nearfield? Did they boom in typical-size room? Well I have no means to verify that, but the Signature 800 I auditioned was perfect fit to the average-sized demo room.

Given similar price and sound quality, I would choose the B&W over the Revel simply for its superior appearance. But this is a trivial matter. They both look sci-fi anyways, not for all tastes.
