I built the Grounded Grid preamplifier using Bruce Rozenblit's schematic in his book Audio Reality, so i consider it a Transcendent Sound product. BTW, Transcendent is planning to offer this preamplifier as a complete kit in the near future.

Construction is easy if you plan your work. The most time consuming aspect is parts sourcing. Once you get them, plan all your component's placement inside the chassis and all the point to point wiring and connections. The enclosure or chassis was custom made in aluminum. The finished unit looks very professional.

How does it sound? Transparent, natural, smooth, liquid, dimensional and very fast and dynamic at the same time. This two last qualities complement very well the OTL amplifier main attributes. Bass is strong and controlled.

Strikingly, the preamp is completely quiet, no trace of hum or hiss even at full volume.

Any way you go with this preamp, you would have to built it yourself, and you will surely be wondering how you got such a good sounding reamplifier for so little investment.
