for the Consonance

I'm looking for a budget used preamp for quite a while. I had owned ARC LS2, LS7, LS3. I also build Transcendent Ground Grid. They all are quite good and well known as bang-of-buck. I thought I am a tube-guy and will never fall in love with SS peramp. Right until I have chance to get a Jeff Rowland Consonance. I am totally in love with it. It is so musical and the soundstage is far exceeding all my budget ARCs and GG. It may not be as extended as other SS preamp in the extremes. But it is not too shabby neither. The midrange is where this preamp shines. It is so smooth and magical. I think it truly is a sleeper. If you are looking for a classic used preamp. I wholeheartly recommend it.

Product Weakness: Not in the last words on extremes.
Product Strengths: Very musical. Dynamic, and magical midrange.
