Whatever its shortcomings, and there are a few, the Creek OBH SE is unfailingly musical with fine dynamics, sweet mids, excellent bass and a slightly forward, but musical treble. For the price, it's a great entry to upper-end hi fi.

As with all components, system synergy is critical. In my system, the Creek works a treat. Micro-dynamics are very good, inner detail is sufficient to appreciate it and female vocals are particularly good.

Its weaknesses are irrelevant at the price. The Creek is not the last word in resolving the finest detail, and there could be a little more air around the images.

Soundstaging - if you are into that, is very good, with good layering and fine depth.

I have no RFI problems at all, and the Creek is extremely quiet. Until I can afford something a lot more expensive, the Creek lets me enjoy my vinyl collection without any regrets.
