for the SU-Z780

Finally, a clinical-n-detailed integrated amplifier which should survive 24/7/365 abuse in KDVS' 14G listening room! Technics' SU-Z780, with its' 80 watts-per-channel of ample reserve power, really opened up 14G's unmodded Bose 201 monitors! It exposed just how congested its' predecessor Fisher CA-78's output really was! Tone controls positioned @ 12 O' Clock High offer flat, neutral response. Adding the loudness contour(dubbed super bass) made the low end a bit bumpy! SU-Z780 could be considered a mid-80s' 'tweener, when straight-ahead vintage amplification was cast aside for computerized hybrids(like Kenwood's KA-127). Finely-etched imagery is evident, bereft of that cold, sonic sterility later topologies would render! Considering the various genre KDVS broadcasts to the Sacramento valley and foothills, djs-n-presenters now have an adroit system for previewing their programming. Technics' SU-Z780 is the proverbial bees knees(or cat's meow)for anyone desiring honest representation of what's inside those digital pits-n-grooves-n-tape formulations in a home enviornment as well!

Product Weakness: Impedance factors limit operation of only one set of speakers at a time
Product Strengths: Industrial-strength musical presentation; cd, phono, tuner, and two vcr inputs
