I never heard of Primare until I went to audition the Rotel 985 integrated amp (100wpc). In a comparison of the two, the Primare was much smoother and had 95% of the punch that the rotel does. My room is large and the Primare has plenty of power and stays tight all the way up. The styling of the unit is beautiful and I hear there is a matching power amp coming out next year to match with it for biamping. It has a tape loop and pre-out which the model A20 does not. The volume level is a digital readout on the face of the unit which I have grown to love, much better than a knob with a line on it. One final note, I called the distributor to ask a few questions about the unit, and the salesman actually returned my call in between his sales calls and spent 20 minutes talking to me about the unit - they are very enthusiastic about Primare and were great. email me with questions - I am happy to discuss.
