Like MUDCAT, I have the CAL CL-10 and the Krell 300I.

I have owned it for 3 years, and quite satisfied with its performance. I have use it with Thiel CS 22 with excellent result except for bad recorded CDs. I put it on top of three original tiptoes. Honestly, I can't hear any difference that made, I just try to give it more space underneath for cooling as it run hot.

For the sound, it is quite transparent as it revealed the improvement brought by upgrading better IC, SPK cables and Power line conditioner. It did sound smoother by damping it with sand bag on the top. As you know thiels is not that sensity -- 86db and 4ohm. The bass is not as powerful as I like. However, I didn't use any good power cord.

I wondered what tweaks do you guys do to further improve it? Hope you don't mind share them with me. After all it is the best that I can afford.

FYI, I too have the RCA pull out when remove IC cables. Krell suggest that I send it back for FIX so I did. When I got it back, I noticed that the dark metal plate at the left face plate has fall off. I suspected someone at the factory has dropped it. Krell send me a replacement free of charge. The replacement keep blowing fuses. Second replacement work perfectly for more than 6 months now.

I noticed some changes have been made to the amp. 1) the logo, 2) the remote control unit, 3) the location of the transformer (from center to the right corner).
