I have used alot of headphones ower the years, Koss, Sennheiser various models incl 580, but with the 600 the search was over. The sound is warm,detailed, and it has the musicallity of true high end. Together with the Musical Fidelity tubed X-CAN driven directly by a good CDplayer it makes outstanding sound and the combination is perhaps the cheapest way to get audiophile sound.It even has good bass lacking in so many other headphones.
The only criticism I can think of that the bass could go a little deeper but I think that an even better amp (SS?)can cure this.
