I would only point out some things about these headphones that others have not.

For prolonged listening, the earpieces are quite comfortable, but for me, the band seems to always put pressure on the top of my head, regardless of adjustments--"actual mileage may vary". I've tried bending the headband outward but to no avail.

These headphones deliver great quantities of resolution and detail that is very close to electrostatic speakers. Some users claim a lack of dynamic impact for these headphones but I find them very dynamic and tend to listen to them a lesser volume levels than with 'phones I have used in the past. I have used them both with a tubed headphone amp, a MOS-FET amp, and with a transistor amp and have found no appreciable difference in bass response or dynamics.

If your primary source is CD and you have a headphone amp, feed the CD player directly into the headphone amp to see just how much music these headphones can deliver. It's unbelieveable. You may want to go out and buy new speakers to make up for the speaker's deficiencies.

Do not pay list price. These are widely available at deep discounts. I would suggest that $275 is the top price you should pay.
