This is a neat little device that hooks into an ethernet network or can be plugged individually into your computer's ethernet port. It has a bright flourescent display and a remote control receptor that works with the accompanying universal remote. You can browse your music through the slimp3 unit and choose or skip songs using the remote. It also has an internal volume control. You can have different units in different rooms playing different songlists.
Soundwise, it is an mp3 player so you really cant get better than the software. RCA jacks on the back make it easy to plug into your stereo or powered speakers. The documentation is crappy so if you don't already know how to set up an ethernet network or have a friend who does, it is not recommended.
