for the Nite

Have received many emails concerning my upcoming review of the Nite power cords. This has been delayed a looong time due to my needing to hire someone to help me tear apart the whole system to remove them. I have been trying to do this so I can compare the Nite PCs w/ some very heavy hitters such as the Shunyata Viper V2, Cobra, Elrod Signatures and standards, TG Audio SLVR as well as Electra Glides, Omega Mikro and Audio Magic Illusions. For now the postions of the comparisons are limited to feeding my two Audio Magic Stealth PLCs, shortly I will at least have the notes on how they stack up on my AES Superamp DJH version and hopefull the EVS M2 DAC. Not sure I can get to the preamp and Theta transport for A/B shootout due to the layout of the room and the cost of having someone stay around all day while we tear things apart and place them back together over and over again. I just wanted to post this brief note to let those interested know that the review should be posted by next weekend so bear w/ me a little longer. However, I will say this; the Nite is the REAL DEAL. In the right position it can hold it’s own w/ just about any power cord and the quality of construction is as good as you will ever see. VERY big soundstage w/ powerful deep tight bass and some of the most mesmerizing vocals you will ever hear when placed in the right spot. In particular, I think anyone running solid state gear will go ga-ga over this beast. I honestly didn’t think solid core copper could sound this detailed and revealing, especially on top. A full blow by blow against the above power cords will be coming shortly. Be forewarned, IT’S LONG!

Product Weakness: VERYstiff and heavy, will take some small components for a roller coaster ride if cable not properly pre-bent and weights used on top of gear- just ask my Bel Canto DAC 1.1 in the "B" system! ;-)
Product Strengths: Very good bottom end, huge and natural vocals.
